The weekend kicks off early with the Amigos 7th Annual VVS Benefit Gourmet Wine Dinner at the Warren House on Thursday, June 10th. This year’s theme is "Asian Sensations!” Chris and Jen Warren host and Steven Gendel, ’74, and a cadre of VVS staff and alumni, provide the labor. This fundraiser is $250 per person. The proceeds from this year’s Benefit Dinner will go into the Cliff Perkins Memorial Scholarship Fund, established to benefit current students in honor of one of our most influential and beloved Verde Valley School teachers.

Reunion officially starts on Friday, June 11, with registration, VVS memorabilia, work job sign-ups, child care schedule, and other reunion weekend info available. The VVS Amigos host a Welcome Reception and Cocktail Hour at 5:00 pm on the Quad, and Silent Auction opens in the Art Gallery at 7:30pm.

The Cliff Perkins Memorial Scholarship Fund will be christened briefly at the Friday night dinner and a place made available for alumni to gather after dinner to share stories and memories of Cliff.

The Silent Auction, chaired by Bunny de Berge, ’61, and Tammy Cohen Stanton, ’88, has raised over $60,000 for VVS in the last 7 years. Bidding ends just before dinner on Saturday night. Saturday is work projects/activities day. The Flagstone Crew, led by 69ers Chris Schrager and Peter Hardin, will be workin’ overtime, as usual, and Paint and Landscaping Crews, as well as some less strenuous projects, will also be looking for your volunteer participation.

2010 Warren Awards, recognizing outstanding VVS alumni/ae for Professional Achievement, Service to Humanity, and/or Creative Excellence, will be announced and presented at the Saturday night dinner in Brady Hall.
